Wooo!!! What's up mo'fo??? I'm in Wichita KS right now. We're staying with
this girl who has crazy ass different rooms and a fully stocked bar and it's
5:30 AM central time and I refuse to sleep. She has a huge house with different
themed rooms and a fully stocked tiki bar. Whiskey is her name - she's this 21
year old kid who's an artist and she's is damn good. She's done shows and
tours around and was at heavy rebel. Her house is fuckin mind blowing. Every
room out of the 15 or so rooms has a theme to it. Anyway. Here publish this
fucking letter in Yinz say. When I get back I'll compile an article a day or
I'm thinking twice a week for the tour journal. Just go ahead and cut and paste
this fuckin email and put it all up there. This is our first real tour. I mean
none of that 2 weeks shit. I have a journal and letters to joann which I will
compile for a goddamn series of 814 articles. I'll do like 2 a week. I hope to
see you in Pittsburgh - what am I talkin you will be there you varmit!!! You
will be there!!! Stephen H Christ is partying at his casa after in Avalon so
the word is. I have to see the family before. The road is phenominal with all
the landscape of driving through the desert and it's heat and the colorado
Rockies and the huge swells of rock and in and out of tunnels and the flatness
immediately after Denver heading east (and oh I forgot the majestic storm in the
flat lands of Texas where you could see the storm from as far as the eye can see
in all it's flatness - but the storm with millions of colors and me and Nick our
roadie noticing the double rainbow with Vee drivinig and Matt half awake and the
double rainbow subsiding into a single line of rainbow like this === and ROY G
BIV shining down in a single square patch of yellow light onto the west Texas
desert and the rest of the atrmosphere is it's on color so that the yellow patch
of light looks like something out of the X files. And anyway I thought of the
land as a slow moving ocean. And in slow I mean over thousands of years while
in comparisoin the ocean does the same thing in a matter of half a day with it's
calm water and little waves and then waves big enough to surf on and then huge
swells such as the Appalacians and then the enourmous, monstorous,
gigantic seawalls of the rockies. Humans are so fast and the mountains so slow
and contemplative that they can cut through it like a surfer can surf the waves
of the coast or a skater can skate the waves of the city landscape. That's just
being a human there. Cutting through nature. But there's the American
landscape I'm talking about. It's a huge wave all across and it's vast and
tumultuous and great. And here it is September 11 right and maybe that's why I
cant sleep but should and I'm here almost smack dab in the middle of the country
and we're wandering really all over the place, getting as drunk as possible and
being as fucking American as we can, trying to live out Freedom (hahaha while
digging myself deeper into the debthole) and when our show tomorrow comes in
Kansas City, I'll not tolerate any false network remembrances but I'll be
playing the fucking sounds of freedom out in some small dive in Kansas City, and
hopefully there's 20 people there to see us and know it.
See you in Pittsburgh.
